Bachelors in Biochemistry

Students examine the chemistry of life through a rigorous and focused program, leading to a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree. Students may choose an emphasis in biology, chemistry, or medical sciences. Topics of study include:The molecular basis of human health and diseaseThe molecular basis of nutritionThe structure and function of biological macromoleculesThe chemical basis of biological metabolismHow the genetic code is translated at the chemical levelHow hormones functionLaboratories with state-of-the-art equipment in structural biochemistry and molecular biology provide excellent learning and research settings for students.
